I got a TG Xpole at home last fall. Over the winter I was a little bit frustrated with poling at home because I live in a cold dry climate. Lots of warming up me and the pole before I could stick. Even then it was hit and miss. I ended up doing lots of floor work and strength training. As the weather started warming up things got a little bit better. I was able to to more climbs, inverts, etc. Summer hit and we turned on the swamp cooler. BAM! All of the sudden I’m doing caterpillar climbs, arial inverts, ankle cross release, figure head, all of the things I thought I just wasn’t strong enough for yet. I just needed some grip. And the 68% humidity in my house was just the trick. I’m thinking I’m going to have to run a humidifier in my room all winter long. OH! And we finally got our remodel done so I have 10′ of beautiful pole to climb 🙂

That’s such an interesting discovery! Humidity really can make a huge difference when it comes to grip strength and performance on the pole. A dry environment tends to pull moisture from the skin, making it harder to maintain a consistent hold. It’s great that your swamp cooler helped balance things out 68% humidity sounds perfect for what you’re doing.

For anyone dealing with the opposite issue too much moisture in the air proper air control can make training a lot more comfortable. Services such as Aircon Servicing can be a real help in keeping indoor humidity levels stable throughout the year, preventing both excess dryness and stickiness. Balanced air conditions not only protect your space and equipment but also help maintain steady grip conditions for pole training or any fitness setup.
