Funny Bruise Story
Yeah so I went to my appointment yesterday at Family Planning for the lovely annual exam and get an Rx for birth control and all that lovely stuff that I won’t go into detail about. Well, my legs were covered in bruises. And not all in areas I could explain away – I’ve been practicing my superman, so the bruises up in between my upper thighs are definitely not something you can say you got by running into a wall. I was keeping my fingers crossed she wouldn’t notice them… However, I ran late to my appointment that day and completely forgot about it by the time I got there.

I just said I was a klutz and have managed to run my no-nos into the corners of the stainless countertops at work, which has happened, but doesn’t quite leave that kind of bruising… https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
And this may be too much information, but I also had a lovely hickey on an area of my body that wasn’t my neck, so I’m sure all this painted a picture that I’m the victim of some kind of sexual abuse. hahahahhaha, happened to me 2 months ago, I was working on pole sits and had bruises all over my inner thighs, I was with a nurse at the time, she called the doctor in, like she didn’t know what to do, and the doc. said…."I just want you to know, we can help you, you can trust us", so I laughed and told her all about my pole. LOL

OMG…HAHAHA! I can’t tell you how many times that I’ve joked that someone might think I get beat up due to the bruises on my legs and upper inner arm (damn teddy!). I’ve noticed some "concerning" looks when I’ve worn short sleeve shirts…I just laugh! Oh the joys of pole!!

I work at a cirisis intervention agency and share an office with victim advocates who work with domestic violence. One in particular is a BEOTCH. The local ED here has spent many nights asking" are you ok" "are you sure you’re ok" of our students.
then they say they pole dance and it’s all over, happy nurses who then ask where to go to learn.
Ergo, tell nursing staff the truth, we may get more converts!! I have a lot of nurses who pole.
BTW: My gp knows about pole due to the amount of injuries we send him as he has a Masters in Sports Med.
Apparently, he’s now at the point of just fixing the problem and sending them on their way.
