Sounds like a kid with a homework excuse right?

How many of you have problems with your pet stealing your pole wear? My dog does everything he can to get to my shorts in my gym bag, in the hamper, etc and chew them up! I've had to replace so many of my pole shorts already!

    Anyone else have this problem???

    Bad Ringo!!

When we dog sit the boys dog she is horrible for stealing underwear and chewing them up.  Luckily I do not have that issue with my pups.

Oh, my gosh Mary Ellyn. I don't have a dog, but this post made me laugh out loud. We do love our pets, don't we?!

    hahaha! I feel for you!

Most recently my dog ate my bottle of Mighty Grip (half full too!)

He's dined on an expensive pairs of Lululemon booty shorts, about 311 pairs of thongs and took a giant shit on my leather thigh high stiletto boots after chewing the heels off.

mine generally don't go after my pole shorts, but they do go after my underwear…I have a small garbage can with a flip lid in the master bath that they go in so the dogs (actually it seems to just be the female one) can't get them.

LUCKILY my boys haven't gotten any of my pole stuff yet *knock on wood*, but I have an album on my facebook of a TON of the crap one of my dogs destroyed. They include, the underside of my couch, the wall, the baby gate, shoes, my sunglasses, my hair clip, my man's high school YEARBOOK, dexter and big bang theory DVDs, various CDs and computer games, a blanket, my nice sheets, the cord on my heated blanket, my phone charger…I did catch him eating my dirty undies once, and of course he knocked over the trash…

Yeah, that dog is a little turd!

Oh wow, this sounds so familiar! Some dogs just have a thing for anything that smells like their favorite human laundry, gym wear, even pole shorts. It’s usually because the scent carries comfort and familiarity, especially after workouts when the fabric picks up all that interesting “human smell.” My friend’s Labrador used to sneak into the laundry room and proudly parade around with socks and workout gear as trophies!

A little trick that helped was keeping used clothes in a closed hamper and giving her dog something more appealing to chew, such as a sturdy toy that keeps him busy. Consistency makes a big difference, and keeping him mentally stimulated reduces the urge to “hunt” for forbidden items.
