Day 8 loved the tips my pole is a 40 mm I can do split grip from invert but the standing up right split grip I move , I’ll do a video to show you xx 💕
It’s not uncommon to be able to do split grip inverted but not up right. It all depends on what muscle groups are strongest. This is because when inverted your overhead arm is pushing and the opposite arm is pulling but the pushing, (overhead arm) can take on most of the force. so as long as you’re strong enough to keep your elbow, locked out, you can support yourself with your arm. Overhead. When upright, your overhead arm is pulling and the opposite arm is pushing. This position can harder for some because you’re using the muscles in a different way, pulling with the overhead and pushing with the lower. So unless you have very strong lats, upright is challenging. Injuries are more common with the upright split grip because people keep their elbow straight (when you should bend it in towards the belly) and they place most of the weight on the poor straight bottom arm. This places too much strain on the elbow joint.
