Butterfly (Split) (Twisted) (Elbow) and (Forearm)

[lesson id=’wMkhrsR9′]

This is one super duper Butterfly tutorial. You’ll learn 4 grips and 2 entries, one using a Caterpillar and the other a Gemini. You’ll learn methods for both static and spinning pole and I’ll even show you a one hand version of the butterfly! Keep in mind there is no right or wrong grip, they’re just different options to choose from.

Before working on to this lesson, you should have a solid Caterpillar or Gemini/Outside leg hang. If you don’t feel secure in your Caterpillar, I suggest going through the 30 day Caterpillar program before learning the Butterfly.

  1. The forearm grip scares me to death! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong to even begin getting into position. Hmmm, I just watched lesson again and think I know what I’m doing wrong, I THINK. 🙂 Will try again.
