I always suggest buying a pole for your body’s skin, not for hands. If you have sweaty hands every pole will be an issue to some degree. I use to love my tg until I moved to Vegas and find I sweat a lot in summer. Now PC and brass works when I sweat. I don’t know where the SV PC falls under. All I know is they’ve done a special 2 coat process making it grippy but “softer” feeling.

Dew point isn’t for sweaty hands, its to moisten try skin so don’t use it on your hands. Use Dry hands if you have sweaty hands. Way back in the day everyone just said no lotion ever, but really some need to use lotion if they have dry skin. Moist, warm (not sweaty) skin sticks better to poles. So using a non greasy lotion a few HOURS before poling can work great. Don’t use bath and body and don’t put lotion on right before tho. 🙂

The SV pole is made by Lil mynx, they were making poles before the other companies, so they’ve been around for a long time!

I find Powder coated is the most consistent finish. Metal poles are very temperamental when it comes to weather, sweat, etc. so they can really so down pole time when you have to warm them up or find the right grip aids that work.

I LOVE grip of our SV powder coated and color of course, they used a special two part process for the SV pole which makes the grip sticky, yet softer/less harsh then other PC poles. It’s the easiest and fastest pole to set up and take down and it’s the easiest of the poles to switch from static to spin and back. It’s easy to clean and it’s adjustable to a certain point. The only down side, is height, it only goes up to 10 ft.

I also have all of the sizes and finishes of x-poles. They are quality poles for sure and both companies have great customer service! I like their Titanium gold and Brass pole. If you need a pole that is over 10 ft then the x pole is a great choice! You will more than likely need to invest in grip aid because metal poles can be temperamental in different weather conditions, that’s why I love PC. You’ll get a set of tools to set the pole up and to switch the pole to spin. If you sweat the Titanium gold can get slick, brass is better for sweat as is the SV pole. The x pole comes with a carrying case and you can buy more extensions if you need them!

Both brands have a vaulted ceiling mount you can purchase.

I use both brands for different reasons, however with the SV pole I know my grip will always be great so I tend to go for that pole first. If I want to climb up over 10 ft I use my x poles 🙂 If I could mix the two brands together I think I would have the ultimate pole!!!! LOL

I have every finish including the new brass x-pole, the most consistent grip is still my SV pole. However, I don’t have sweaty hands, but have had girls use my pole that have sweaty hands and they said it was better than their chrome poles. Maybe someone with sweaty hands can offer some input! I can say that my TG pole gets soooo slick when I sweat in the summer, it’s not usable, but I can use my SV or brass.

If Dew point alone doesn’t help add Mighty grip over the ! The two worked great on my cold brass yesterday.

I had Kikki demonstrate how she gets into the Remi when she was visiting my place this summer. I found that as long as the top leg had the pole snuggly tucked into the knee pocket (similar to CKR) and the wrapped/lower leg had the pole closer to the shin not the top of the foot, it really wasn’t painful. So for me the key was having the top leg take on most of the pressure. Side note, if you have knee issues skip this move. 🙂
