I would go with a yoga hammock 🙂 I bought mine from aerial empowerment online. She was having a sale a few months ago and is a sv member so you may want to see if she is still having a sale.

I say add it! It may give you an edge if they are at all like the US reality shows. They love anything that makes someone seem scandalous! Just be aware they could make it sound like a negative thing….but I may give you a chance to set them straight as to what pole dance is. That is what we need to continue to grow, spread the word 🙂

Have you tied steam cleaning your brass? I find all grip aids leave a greasy residue and alcohol doesn’t clean it off completly

Have a great holiday!!! I was traveling all day and Internet access was spotty. I missed saying hi to everyone in chat!

Hi 🙂 it was common practice to have fitness pros say “stretch before” but Stretching before working out has not been proven to prevent injury. However, warming up has shown to help decrease risk of injury. I mention this because I know many of us are short on time, so save the stretching for after the workout.

AdministratorDecember 20, 2012 at 10:22 am in reply to: Another First For Pole From StudioVeena.Com!!!The 30 days is PERFECT for brand new dancers, or those who have had to take time off the pole. Seasoned dancers will benefit as well, it will help you also gain insight into how you can structure your pole sessions. There is no previous experience needed for ANY of the the lessons. You just start with the "Getting started" lesson and I walk you through from there.

Unless a pole is super tight you will not need to use hardly any momentum for Spinning pole. However, some poles spin more smoothly than others. You learn how to adjust for it. I never swing any limbs when using a smooth spinning pole, like you would on static. Again there are some spinners that are slower so you can use some momentum with those. But I know on my poles I don't need any extra momentum from the body. Here's a video with some tips for spinning poles. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
