Yes, I have ripped skin off my foot and hand before in the summer when it was hot and humid. I don't have problems anymore though. You learn to be exact in placement so sliding or shifting isn't needed. Grippy poles are less forgiving in that respect, which is why I usually suggest chrome for a first pole. There is no pole that will always work perfectly. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

My TG get's very grippy to the point of skin ripping in the summer. You do get use to working around it, but it takes time. You slowly learn how to adjust your grip. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

Hi Taylornow, Warming up the body AND pole significantly will allow you to grip ANY kind of pole finish better. This is why I designed the Basic Warm Up lesson to include moves that warm the pole too.
The 45mm Chrome is a good finish. If you have sweaty hand issues try Dry hands or some Pole dance gloves. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Yes please contact webmaster with these issues. Every situation is different.

Oh I just had a thought, Empy are you going from SM into like a superman/pike gripping the pole in between the legs, then brining a hand down below, while keeping the other hand in place?
-
I can picture the inverted crucifix entry. I wanna try that too now! I can't totally picture the shoulder mount into it, are you removing a hand or threading the leg through the hands as you come up into SM? And how are you getting a bottom hand in place?

Are you feeling better now??

Booo on the frustrating practice! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I know you could do this one Charley. But there is nothing wrong with stepping back from a move, to just think it over in your head a while before giving it another try. Continuing to try something when your frustrated with it isn't fun!
