I'm having a hard time deciding!! Too many songs and costumes!!!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Oh I should also add you will not be able to hold or be close to the base of the pole/wall if your deadlifting with straight legs, because the hips have to move way beyond the shoulders ๐

You don’t have to be a gymnast to deadlift from an elbowstand, I can do it with straight legs or v legs. Your balance points are different in the headstand than the elbow! Headstand you can lift up even if your weight is a bit forward the forearm however you have to have your butt/hips over your head/shoulders you also have to place the elbows right and the shoulders must be engaged, hamstring and shoulder flexibility is needed and triceps and core strength will help you control the move. I go over all of this in the lesson….. Elbowstands like handstands and forearmstands take time!!!!! Don’t expect to master this in a few tries!

Looking forward to it 409!!

Yep! You don’t need to do all the conditioning moves each time you do your strength work…just focus on one muscle group each day you do your strength work. The muscle groups used are in order and also listed in the discriptions ๐

Do you mean your doing a long Scorpio when you say you have no gap? Hooking the foot has nothing to do with it, that was just a habit I had and did without thinking :). Here is the lesson on the Scorpio explaining both the long and short variation I https://stage.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4cc1bbf3-c948-45a7-9148-7a290ac37250 also i cover how to add spin to your Scorpio ( without the leg switch )

Hello and welcome!!

Actually a basic pole hold is also a great beginner move and strength builder as well ๐ There are many other moves suitable for new dancers too. Moves all build on each other, so learning them in an organizes order can be really helpful!
