Runemist, if you have a webcam I'd be happy to meet you in the chat room sometime and take a look at your invert. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Pink, You have to make sure your coming up high enough on the shoulders in the start position. I believe I cover that in the lesson. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif You can't expect to get every move instantly, most moves can take weeks of trying.

I'm trying to work something fun out for the SV peeps stay tuned. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I also teach it from a Caterpillar. The farther apart the hands the closer you are to your pole the easier it will be, as you become stronger you can bring the hands closer pushing the body farther away from the pole. Don't rush the movement into the V position get balanced first. I talk about this more here in this lesson https://stage.studioveena.com/lessons/view/f7c4af30-b91e-11df-856f-001b214581be

Ekinkah or anyone else https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif Here is the lesson that will really help you get a feel for neutral Scapula which is what you want when you invert. https://stage.studioveena.com/lessons/view/0225276c-b90a-11df-856f-001b214581be

Oh one more thing….be careful of squeezing the shoulder blades TOO much, this is a common mistake!! You want the shoulders in an engaged position, but if you are over doing the squeezing you can also cause problems!!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

You need to REST Ekinkah! Sounds like you were not strong enough to be doing inverted Vs yet. I have some great lessons for strengthening if you interested. They include proper positioning for your shoulders to help prevent issues like this. Feel better soon.
