Barefoot is always best so that’s great your learning that way first. If your looking for boots something without zippers is best if you have a Chrome or Titanium finish on your pole. Matt finish boots will not grip the pole well at all and can be even more slick than skin. Some leather boots will grip, but if your looking for the most grip go with shiny. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Sometimes a pole can clunk if its too tight or too slanted. The X pole doesn’t need to be perfectly level. Its meant to adjust to the floor. The important thing is to have the dome flat against the ceiling before you finish tightening the pole. One side of the dome should not be touching the ceiling more then the other. In my home the floors are slanted in places….my x poles are all leaning a bit because of it…if I were to make the pole totally level I might damage my ceiling or pole.

lildebbie, Master the lessons in the order they appear….the farther along the video scroller you go the more advance the moves in each section. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
And yes reenie, I have been very busy. Big things happening with the site, (mostly behind the scenes at the moment) 4 kids and 2 starting school all while searching for a home!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I have almost completed the new revised intermediate moves along with some brand new moves. Intermediate routine will come out in October sometime.

The titles are not there because some are forgetting to click the save button for their video info. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Its not a pain when members inform us of troubles, we can’t fix something we don’t know about!

I got my big mirror at IKEA, I wonder if you can order one online? Might be spendy for shipping though. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif I also have also used mirrored closet doors…..they can be huge and less expensive than a piece of mirror that size. If you have mirrored closet doors in your home just pop them off the track https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

There is risk in all we do…..even sleeping has its risk. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_dwarf.gif I love pole dance and it is the BEST WORKOUT EVER!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif As pole dancers we become Strong, Flexible, and increase our Cardiovascular stamina. Working with an instructor who understands the body and will guide you though the proper steps to take even before you learn your first pole move is the best way to learn. I have designed my lessons around preparing the dancer for the intense work we will be asking of our body later in the future. As students you need to LISTEN to what the instructors are telling you. Following my guide lines for progressing though the lessons. http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/2134 In studio, if your working with an instructor that insists you do something you feel your not ready for speak up! The most important things we can do: Get clear, proper instruction and learn to work within YOUR limits. Not all pole moves are going to be suitable for all dancers. We are all different and we all should NOT be expected to perform every move that is out there. Pole is a wonderful exercise and a beautiful form of expression https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

You can still wear lotion….its just not wise to apply right before pole dancing and some tend to be more greasy then others. I am a dry person and have to put lotion on a few hrs before I pole or I wont grip as well. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif So your find is a good one Mrsnaughtywed https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Hooked….this is why I don’t recommend the TG for beginners or those who like to do static spins. Its hard on the hands. However you will get use to it, but wow I have some major callouses happening from my TG. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif If your a death gripper the TG will take some time to get use to. So about the lotion for the TG: never apply anything that will make your hands slick before you pole ever! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif
