Here…. http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/1199 A vid I did that may help you understand how to hold the abs during exercise. Yes I have had 4 kids and yes I have extra skin…but it was worth it, I wear my mommy marks proud!

Ahhhh I see! I thought you were getting "heavy lifter belly" you know the big guys who wander around with protruding abs. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif LOL https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif
Well curves are genetic and come from body fat…if your losing body fat you’ll also loose more curves. Chem is right…you’ll need to trick the eye by balancing out your whole body. building the upper body will do wonders for faking curves. Like I said before be proud your strong!!! Choosing the right clothing and pole wear can make a big difference too as far as adding the "look" of curves. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Yes the plan is at least one for each level, but I might do more if everyone seems to like them. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

Are you holding your abs in the correct manner when your dancing and working out? Abdominals can be "trained" to protrude if your not engaging them properly. The abs should be lifted up, then in, before you lift your body or anything else. Some people naturally stick the belly out before contracting this is not training the abs to work properly. If your taking the lessons you should take a look at the SWITCH lesson in the strength training section. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif I think you look great, be proud of your strong lean body!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

AdministratorJuly 27, 2010 at 3:09 am in reply to: Can a complete beginner learn on an X-Stage?You could learn on a Stage Pole but it would be safest to stay on the ground, I wouldn’t recommend it. Put an X pole in your garage!!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif …if you buy and extension for the X pole they can go up to 12ft!!! Exposed beams work just fine for the x pole too….because… that is were you place the pole anyway, over the stud/beams. If they are narrow and you want to span 2 beams you can just place a board across the 2 for the pole. Also textured ceilings are not a problem (is it like popcorn or something else) I use my X poles on textured ceiling with no troubles. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Welcome! As far as height goes, I think you’ll find some moves more of a challenge and others you wont. There are some amazing tall pole dancers so don’t let your height scare you off. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I created my lessons for ladies just like you who can’t get to a studio, we even work on strength moves to prevent injuries! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
