Maybe we should start a topic so everyone can list their skin type, climate, both heat and humidity level and pole finish preference….Could be helpful for others, because it there really seems to be more factors to it then just finish. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif

AdministratorJune 16, 2010 at 7:23 pm in reply to: Wanting to Buy First pole….what should I get?Mine was a permanent PS pole…worked ok in summer when I was sweaty (I’m a dry person and don’t perspire much) and the room was not cold…but come winter…it just took too long to warm the pole and myself. I made the switch to Chrome and it was a whole new poling experience. Depending on your skin (dry, oily ect) you may work better with one finish over another. For me my perfect grip days are:
Warm 70ish
Humid
I have dry skin…so humidity is my friend!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif -

Especially if you live in a cold climate…I spent many cold winter days grip less and frustrated. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

AdministratorJune 16, 2010 at 2:05 pm in reply to: Wanting to Buy First pole….what should I get?I have all of the finishes and sizes….if your a new "beginning" pole dancer, I would go with the 45mm Chrome. Titanium is very grippy and once you start working on spins (static spins) it can really rip up your hands (dancers new to static spins tend to have a "death grip" on the pole) So I say Chrome 45mm. As for size..I use to say get the 50mm but the 45mm has been so much easier on my joints. 50mm is standard in most clubs, studios and competitions. Some comps use 45mm and I hope it continues to spread cuz I love my 45! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

You never REALLY know the Truth, just the perception THEY the media, want you to see. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I would also like to learn viva seat, scissors, and hello boys — all three are holds.
What are the viva, and scissors? I have a wrist seat lessons which is the "hello boys" at least thats what Jamilla called it.
Charely whats a chinese flag spin? Just a spinning flag or something else?
Pics or vids on these please https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Yes, yes combo spins. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif I had some… and they will be replaced again… at some point. Remember, I have other lessons planned in addition to pole moves and spins so be patient, but keep the thoughts coming https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Veena, what do you mean 3 old lessons to replace? I’m hoping to begin your online lessons in a month or so, will there be a change in what’s available? Thanks!
I have 3 old lessons I will be replacing, from then on all lessons will be totally new!!
Veena has just simply been re-recording some of the older lessons.
The new ones are way better cuz of the quality of video stream…….
Otherwise, they are pretty much the same lesson……just way better quality!!Am I correct in this veena??
In addition to higher quality….
They are also full screen
You can now add comments/questions on each lessons
pause
rewind
I include muscles used in each description
I include the AKA Also Know As in the descriptions
You are in formed of your P.O.C Points Of Contact (something I came up with to help the home poler) https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifKeep them coming everyone!

So far I have had no complaints about my Belly and Pole dance vid, so that’s surprising. I’m sure they’re coming. Every single video I post to YT gets complains and rude comments. Its the nature of those who have no life. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif The way I see it…..its not art if you always do everything the same as everyone else. If someone doesn’t like the way I do something… that’s not my problem. lol https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif
