I like the idea about the world cup…so how about we use international MUSIC….it doesn’t have to be your nationality but it would be music that is not Mainstream and would represent another culture. You could add a costume if you would like. Does that sound ok?

If your taking the SV lessons here is the video that covers proper placement for your upper body (hands included) for spins. Remember spins are not the first pole work you should be learning, you should be building up strength first. This will protect your shoulders/elbows/wrist. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Climbing stairs really kicks a**!! LOL Yes its a great way to tone your glutes, hamstrings and quads and even the muscles of the calf. To get the most out of your climb, take it slow and you can even to 2 at a time depending on the height of your steps. Try to keep your torso up right and don’t let your knee go beyond your toes. Also…In between stair sets you can do standing calf raises…
Calf Raises:
Keeping legs straight (don’t bend at the knee) through out the move, stand on the ball of your foot/feet at the edge of a step, drop your heels down towards the floor so they are lower than your toes, then with control, raise up on to the ball of your foot, release all the way back down slooowly and repeat. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif -

Naahh wrist burn will usually only happen when your doing advanced spins…if it even happens. Some new dancers might have troubles with it because your not use to grabbing the pole properly, but once you’ve learned the proper way to hold the pole, it will be a rare occurrence https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif
