Most of the pro dancers are tiny and most starred off with a 50mm pole. It just takes time to build up the strength. Your hands do not need to fit around the pole, mine don’t. You’ll get stronger! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif If your looking for some strength exercises for your hands, wrists, and forearms, I have specific lessons on those area, in addition to the full body strength work too. You can find them under the strength training section of the lessons https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif .

Its normal to be very sore at first. Always warm up well and stretch after you done. Also make sure that your allowing for recovery time in between poling sessions. Every other day is best, not everyday. On your off days you can stretch (after a warm up) but if you knew to exercise in general you want to give your body the rest in needs so you will not suffer from injury or just get too sore that you cannot even move. haha https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I still get bruising and pole burn now and then and callouses are a permanent part of my hands. LOL
Everyone will lose weight at different rates though, it depends on how in active you were before you started and how long you dance, you body type…my guess is you will start to notice it in the fit of your clothing more than anything. Don’t look at the evil scale cuz you will gain muscle too. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

AdministratorApril 13, 2010 at 11:09 pm in reply to: I did a SILLY STUPID thing and now I need advice!Oh no https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I hope your feeling a bit better now…once its no longer really painful you can try massaging the hamstring by using a tennis ball. Massage can help make scar tissue more pliable, if you did tear something you will have to be aware of scar tissue and be careful not to re-injure the same area. Feel better soon https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

to purchase lessons from paypal you either need a credit card or you must have the money in your paypal account. We have had troubles when using bank accounts and no longer use that method.
