You can try inverting on tippy toes first. Don’t cheat and put your heel down, stay up on your toes. Its harder to invert with heels because your balance is a bit off and you can’t cheat and jump as easily and of course your leg line is longer….Just keep at it and you’ll get it. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Yes Morgan…you can leave the pole pieces together if you want, just loosen the adjuster rod and put it away as one piece. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

I really feel your struggle Loopy, https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif It can be really stressful to deal with. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif
I am no longer a Christian but, depending on your religion it is very much a problem…..I know all to well the worries of the stumbling block and boundaries. I skipped MOST of my school functions because there was dancing. Never listen to secular (non christian) music, watch only G rated movies and I avoided certain people because they might cause me to "stray". This is how I was taught and raised. I spent all of my childhood and too much of my adult life stressing about right and wrong and what is ok and not ok as a Christian, when it came to sexuality. I missed most of the early 90s pop culture. LOL I will still sometimes get physically ill in a bar or place that I was taught was "dirty". It can be really ingrained into people that certain things are very wrong or my cause you to burn in the eternal damnedness of hell.
You have to sit down with your husband and talk about it…..don’t over think the whole WWJD what would Jesus do thing, you could drive yourself mad https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_shaking2.gif Live a good honest life and if your not hurting someone else than what you do is your business. Never hide something from your partner either!!
Sissy gave you some good advice!
Also there is nothing wrong with looking at someone else and finding them attractive….its human nature!! We are beautiful creatures and should enjoy ourselves and others. Just because you or he finds someone else attractive doesn’t mean your in LOVE with that person. And it doesn’t mean you love your partner any less either. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
The only thing we know for sure its that we are living this ONE life right NOW, enjoy it!! I hope you get to show your man what you know https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

and sissy that goes for all strength work…rows, triceps press, shoulder raises you get the idea https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_idea.gif so unless your specifically working on flexion and extension of the wrist/forearms always keep a neutral wrist.

I’m confused as to how you would get into the butterfly from that spin, my hands would be in the wrong position. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

I have a whole series of new lessons I’ll be posting this month addressing this very problem. They’ll include helpful strength work to important stretches. Having a desk job (if you use computers) and pole dancing can really take a toll on the hands/wrist/forearms.
ALWAYS stretch your forearms and hands after you dance and gently stretch them throughout the day as you work too. Oh and after you do your weightlifting too. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif
Avoid split grips until your wrist/forearms feel better
Try to massage the forearm area, better yet get a pro to work on them!
REST, REST, REST maybe focus on flexibility or cardio for a while as you let your wrist take a break.
Once your feeling better do some specific exercises for strengthening the hands/wrist/forearms and…keep stretching! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
In strength training you can get good result without lifting too heavy, so keep that in mind. Lifting with control is more important then how much weight your using. Also try to pole dance on the same day that you do your weight training. If your lifting one day then poling the next that can be too much and lead to overuse. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif Hope that was helpful.
