There are always a few moments now and then where you think OMG and you catch yourself https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif I
When I have a bad pole work out….and I do! Its still frustrating, but I have learned that if I’m working on a move I just can’t get….. move on, and come back to it later in the week. I no longer have grip issues now that I always warm up well, (unless I’m trying to dance on a crappy pole in a dirty bar) https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif but if I have had time off the pole, the first day back is usually CRAP! The next pole session is almost always better. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

A few hrs ago I had someone write a comment on a video of mine saying…."I can see all of the abortions she has had from the blubber on her stomach" This was on one of the after baby vidoes… To that I say "block" and "delete". I use to respond back but I just delete and block them and moooove on, those types of people are NOT worth my time. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

AdministratorFebruary 26, 2010 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Spinning without getting sick – advice from pro-skatersI find spotting helps with pole pirouettes but its not helpful on spin mode, unless your upright and spinning slowly…..for me, anyway. I acclimate myself to spinny by doing a few session of up right moves ONLY then slowly add the inverted. Just keep at it. And I only do a few moves on spin then something else, then back to spin I’m a static lover myself anyway https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

The Ellies do seem narrow, which is what I need, I’m not sure how they work with wide feet. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif

I will add that if you cannot pull yourself upright on the pole from an invert do not attempt this move.
Going from outside leg hang I found it easier to go into side V first and then flip the hips (if this helps anyone).

This is how I teach it, from a side V….If you want to work on it lower go for it….just slide down after you invert so your bottom arm is on the floor and flip. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
