A Roxy includes the whole spin around into elbow, you gotta have the whole kit and caboodle for it to be a Roxy! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I like it best on a static pole, Roxy use to do it and spin down ending in a split!

If your feeling stiff after every stretching session then you are maybe not warm enough when stretching or stretching too far. It's very common to see a lot of progress then stop, that means its time to change up the routine a bit. change the order, or the stretches used or how long you hold a stretch and even how often. Change is good!

You can foam roll everyday, anytime whenever you like!
In the lessons I have individual foam roller work that give you a little look into anatomy. The technique used in those lessons can be used to relax anytime, or before you stretch a muscle group, before you pole or after stretching or poling, use it when ever.
When using the foam roller to help increase (ROM) range of motion, foam roll that specific muscle group then follow with a stretch for that same muscle group. This is what we do in the stretching routines in the lessons. You can also use the foam roller to work on over splits or as a stretching aid. I show you how to use it for stretching middle splits in the routine.
If you have the lessons I suggest watching the Getting started foam roller video. This will answer a lot of your questions. https://stage.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dcc48af-f630-4a8e-aa67-78850ac37250

AdministratorFebruary 3, 2013 at 4:28 pm in reply to: Pole sit into a split grip hold off the poleAre you making sure to push with the palm of the lower hand?? You shouldn’t be fully wrapping the fingers, but rather pushing into the pole with the palm.

First you need to decide if its pain or just discomfort? Sharp, stabbing or something that makes you suddenly say OUCH https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif are words you might use to describe pain. This is NOT what you should feel when you stretch. Discomfort, is normal when stretching and words like tension, and pulling might be used to describe a stretch. If your not stretching past normal range of motion your not hyper extending. So it may or may not be the issue. You could just have really tight hamstrings! Changing the stretches you're using may help. In the lessons there are several stretches for the hamstrings if your interested.

Keep in mind your not "self taught" here at Studioveena, the videos have very in-depth instruction. You have an instructor (me) here to help you out and answer questions, also everything is place in progressive order so you don't have to worry about what to teach yourself. I've done that for you. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

That was so great of your husband!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifClass is are fun, but to take more than one class a week can get very expensive. If you want to grow as a pole dancer you'll need to practice more than once a week, if you're just looking for a social activity then once a week may be fine.
Since you have a home pole you may want to check out the lessons here. In addition to our individual and routine lessons line up we now have a 30 day take off program. This is also included in the lessons when you purchase them.
Here's the first video in the 30 day series, https://stage.studioveena.com/videos/view/50e4694e-a85c-4fa0-8e66-61940ac37250

Hey guys, challenges don't have to be unedited. If you want to add a little pole into it go for it, but it should be mostly floorwork. We are not that picky with "rules" so whatever you feel is floorwork will be fine.
Here is a video of the Floorwork Challenge we did 3 years ago! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVoxkGrsFk0&list=UUup79MtZnWP_SCAHeVlmzdQ&index=80
Here is an old practice video of just floorwork. Excuse the pants, they kinda ruin the lines, but I was cold!! lol https://stage.studioveena.com/videos/view/4d407fd0-9e34-41ed-a6bc-57be0ac37250

LittleEngine/empty Your responses were uncalled for.
I am guessing Chem was asking Sunshine to clarify the base comment. I had the same question when I saw it. I think She meant to say she didn't like how the Star base lifts out but does like that it seems quite. No one was starting anything……
