Target and sporting goods stores have them too. Or online.

You can foam roll anytime! Roll after your poling, or before you stretch. It's like giving yourself a massage! If you're taking the lessons I've got a bunch that will show you all the muscles you can roll. I like to foam roll before bed sometimes. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Hi there, Don't rush into anything. Work on moves that will focus on building strength first. Add some conditioning and stretching into your pole sessions. NOT ALL MOVES ARE RIGHT FOR EVERYBODY! Listen to your body, its not important to know every trick in the book.
If you're looking for some guidance you could try the lessons. I have everything placed in order, allowing for proper progression and strength building. There are "getting started" lessons for each lesson section. This explains how to use the lessons and how often to pole or perform an exercise.
it's your pole journey, the best thing you can do is to focus on improving YOU. Try not to worry about what others have done in the same amount of time.

Hi! Yep I have a whole section of stretching lessons. In addition to the individual lessons (these teach proper positioning) I have 3 flexibility routines! 2 for Splits and one for Back mobility. A foam roller can be helpful as well. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Some great idea's here! I'll add that I do have lessons on the handstand, these are to be used against a wall or the pole.
Here is the Handstand https://stage.studioveena.com/lessons/view/b6392600-b882-11df-856f-001b214581be
Here is the Handstand press https://stage.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4d384b3e-930c-4b99-a56c-198e0ac37250
This is demo I did showing the balance points for all the "stands" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmIciddJyPY
You will find that the more flexible the hamstrings are the easier it is to place the hips over the head, allowing for more control.

You may be able to find someone here that is selling! You could try doing a discussion search for poles, for sale. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
We are offering free shipping on all poles right now! I recommend X-pole and I hear good things about pole danzer too! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Here's a video that might be helpful. It's not perfect by any means, but I was going for flow! So this is my take on it. https://stage.studioveena.com/videos/view/4fac35c1-a748-4c50-88cc-16c60ac37250

No don’t crush it!!! I don’t think it would stay on the thread if you did.

I have one more treatment……Garlic!!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifWhile pregnant I had issues, I didn't want to use OTC meds. My midwife suggested garlic and it worked soooo well. I had problems with yeast for a long time, until I used that method. I did a cider vinegar bath for external relief.
Take a fresh garlic clove, (use a big one) hehe, peel it, with a needle run a thread through, garlic the long way, tie a knot, leaving a long enough tail so you can pull the garlic out. Put it in at night before bed, take it out in the morning. Do this for 3-5 days. Warring, the smell of garlic will be stuck in your nose when you wake up! lol

yep, I always play it safe and go for ONE butt cheek.

I would go to the doctor and have it looked at. Are you new to pole dance? Have you been working on spins or split grips? These can make your hands sore.

I realized I have this move at the end of the Booty challenge you'll get a good look at it….I decided to throw it in last minute so its not pretty but you'll be able to see where I put the pole.

I would guess that she's placing the pole farther out, closer to the thigh….this is how I also do it. Closer to the thigh is safer if you slip!! eek https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

My ceiling right now is 9ft and I used a extension like Saphyre. This makes the pole very stable. I have used it at 9ft with out an extension with no troubles, but I really like it with an extension.

Doing moves without skin contact is always harder Sarah!! I always go for skin contact whenever learn something new. 🙂
