Thank you chem!!
Hi cwalden43, congrats on the little one! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif Yes, the lessons would be very helpful for your journey back. Conditioning is very important, just as you would do as a beginner. You are starting over and focusing on core conditioning will be important! If you have any questions feel free to send me an email. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
It does take time to feel like you again…. here's a video after I had mine, if you'd like to take a look. It's very frustrating because your mind remembers what to do, but the body can't….yet!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5UhIJnX5Rw&list=UUup79MtZnWP_SCAHeVlmzdQ&index=7&feature=plcp

Like everyone is saying, REST!!! Don't try to rush back into pole or heavy activity. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cop.gif Maybe you could use this down time to focus on some flexibility training for legs (with care of coarse!!)
Wishing you a speedy recovery! xoxo

You can do each one once a week, leaving a day of rest in between them.

Oh also if your sore, try using the foam roller to help relieve stiffness! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

It's normal to have a little soreness after the first flexibility sessions. But you shouldn't be sore for days after. If you are then you know you have either….stretched too far, or possibly, were not warm enough. I always find the warmer my muscles are the less soreness I experience. I dress in layers when I do my flexibility training. If you've been stretching for a week or more and continue to be sore after then you may be overdoing it.
Also, you could be a bit sore from doing the strength routine too, especially since you had been off the pole for a while. Light stretching can actually help lessen sore muscles from strength training. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I personally think a powder coated pole has the most grip of all. Even brass for me anyway.

How long have you been dancing and will you be doing a lot of static spins? I suggest Chrome for newer dancers and Titanium for the more experienced.
If your newer to pole and love static spins chrome is good. If you like spinning pole and would like a pole with a lot of grip go with Titanium gold.
Beginners can have a hard time with the titanium because it is so grippy, so static spins can be slower and more painful. Also with a grippy pole you don't have the ability to skooch around to find a good position, like on a Chrome finish. Chrome does have nice grip as well. One thing to keep in mind, a warm pole and warm body always have the best grip. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I've used water, rubbing alcohol, Vodka, Windex, soap and nothing has changed the TG finish. I would say a persons body chemistry or using grip aids are the culprits. But yeah, the grip doesn't change anyway.
