Tigger, did the epis really take off all the hair? Or did it leave patches behind? I have issues with waxing where there's always patches of hair left. 🙁

Welcome to the site!! Everyone has some great advice! Make sure your starting with some strength building first to condition your body. Many moves seem impossible the first time, and before you know it tah dah! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Have you seen someone about the Kneecap and running issue? It sounds like you could have an muscle imbalance. Have you tried the straddle with knees up and also with knees forward? Some will find one more comfortable than the other.

Oh Polergirl!!!!! I enjoy watching your videos, you ARE sexy, I've always thought that. Have you looked around on here, we've got some lovely ladies posting. I find my inspiration watching videos here and you've been one of those who've inspired me! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif New tricks are ok, but honestly I would rather just see a nice heartfelt performance.
I met someone the other day and she has a blog you might wanna check out if your feeling low. She became a member here "Wrinkletalk" ……. I just have to get her on a pole. Here's her blog http://diaryofawrinkle.com/ https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Hi there, and welcome! SashaMae, has some great suggestions! Sensual is right, you shouldn't pole everyday as a beginner. If you're interested, the lessons here have strength, conditioning flexibility, routines, and even hooping! We're always here to help you if you have more questions. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Sandy, thank you so much for the mention, I really appreciate that. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
Depending on the brand sometimes the taller heels are easier to walk in then the really short ones. Look for shoes with a nice wide front and a thicker heel. The shoes with the small spiky like heels are not the easiest to use. Dancing, and entering into pole moves on the balls of your feet is a great way to condition for wearing heels. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

An iron set to steam!! I didn’t even think if that! Great idea 🙂

Welcome to the site!! We have a lot of moms on here. https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Nicolb…a clothes steamer will clean the pole very well and remove any residue from manufacturing. One thing that a lot of dancers forget is to warm up properly before they pole at home. This is one reason why they feel the home pole isn't as grippy as in studio. Never apply lotion right before poling!!! https://stage.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

You have a great resource for stretching right here! In the lessons I use a foam roller, yoga mat, yoga block and sometimes a yoga strap. There are individual lessons that teach you proper form and also 3 routines, 2 for splits and 1 for your back!
This "Getting Started Stretching" lesson will tell you everything you need to know about stretching, including what you might need.
